We have enjoyed delivering meals on wheels this last month,
by the end of the month we knew all the people by name and what to expect at
each delivery. One gentleman, whose dogs
wanted to greet the girls each time, and then the lady who was 101 telling us
that her kids had hired a lady to come in and clean and that she just did not
know what to do with herself. One lady had just come back from a stay in the
hospital and we helped her get the microwave to work. It is so important to
reach out in any way that you can in your community, for us this was just over
an hour of our time and well worth it.
We made a hobbit cake for the girl’s book club today…. There
will not be a photograph.. I thought that we did a great job but it did not
look like it Pinterest counterpart. I am not known for my artistic baking
skills but the girls had a great time helping and decorating. I think that I
could have paid a professional to make it cheaper than buying all the
ingredients.
After the cake adventure I think that we need to spend more
time off the electronics and more time hands on crafts and sewing projects.
